FAQs

We've compiled a list of frequently asked questions to enable new customers to understand our production process. If you have any specific questions please also feel free to contact us

As the client, how much work or time do I need to commit for the video to be completed to a high standard?

This always depends on the size and scale of the project. Every projects begins with a meeting to understand needs and aims of the video. Later on we will require sign off of documents and drafts of the edited film, which again depends on the size and complexity of the project.

As a client what do I need to provide?

For us to understand the aims of the video, your audience and the required style, we will ask you to give as much information as possible. Depending on the kind of project, we may ask for your help with sourcing interviewees and locations. As the production process is underway we’ll also ask your opinion on different element of the video. Once the project scope has been identified, we will be able to give you full details of what you need to provide.

How much will the project cost?

As every project is tailored to the individual brand or client, we determine pricing on a quote by quote basis. By receiving information about your project, we can work out how many people are needed, what equipment is required and how much time the project needs to deliver it successfully. This means that we can ensure all of our clients receive value for money.

How can I be sure that my brand's message or vision will be represented in the content?

By giving us as much information as possible will enable us to ensure your vision is included in the film. If you’d like you can give us your company’s branding guidelines which we can apply to the film content. We’ll also ask for your opinion throughout the process and you can let us know if a message is not represented.

How do we decide on what kind of style our film should be in and how can I be sure it will stand out?

Once we’ve received information about the aims of your film and your audiences’ needs, we’ll put together a few ideas which you can select from. During this process we can let you know which styles work best for different purposes. We’ll also be able to draw upon our previous projects to ensure the content stands out and reflects the intended messages.

Can I see examples of your previous work?

Yes! For recent projects you can visit our work page. For our full catalogue of work you can visit our Youtube Channel, or our Vimeo channel.

Are you confident that you’ll be able to deliver?

Having both completed training with Creative Scotland before working for a vast range of clients, our team has a combination of ten years’ experience working in film production. We’ve learnt a lot during this period which enables us to deliver projects to a high standard.

How long will the project take and for me to receive my finished video?

This mainly depends on the complexity of the project, which we will schedule at the start of every project. If the project is reasonably straight forward you should receive your video approximately two weeks after the filming, however this might be shorter or longer but will always be agreed with you in advance.

How will my finished video be delivered and what will I receive?

If the video is small enough, we will send it to you using a file-share system such as WeTransfer. If it is too big, we will deliver it to you on a hard drive or memory stick. It is always agreed at the start of the project what will be delivered. Along with the finalised video, the entire project could include photos or shorter versions of the video if required.
